(April 8, 2024): Just the News reports on Southeastern Legal Foundation’s (SLF’s) latest lawsuit against the Biden Administration Department of Agriculture (USDA). SLF and MSLF represent Texas farmers suing USDA for giving more federal relief aid to “socially disadvantaged” farmers at the expense of white male farmers. On behalf of the farmers, SLF and MSLF filed a motion for preliminary injunction in a Texas federal court, asking it to temporarily halt USDA’s emergency relief program. SLF and MSLF explain that treating their clients–white farmers–differently than other farmers violates the Constitution and federal law.
