(Oct. 13, 2025): Just the News reports on Southeastern Legal Foundation’s (SLF) request to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) to investigate the fraudulent concealment of documents related to the Russian collusion hoax from the intelligence community under James Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper.
SLF’s request for an investigation comes after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified documents revealing that the CIA, FBI, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) hid evidence that was responsive to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests SLF submitted to the agencies years ago. The documents show that an ODNI whistleblower came forward when he or she learned that the intelligence community under Obama relied on the now-infamous Steele Dossier to support spying on the 2016 Trump campaign. The Dossier, which the Clinton campaign funded, relied on fake evidence to support asking the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court for warrants to spy on the Trump campaign.
SLF submitted FOIA requests to the CIA, FBI, and ODNI in 2019 requesting communications between agency officials about the Steele Dossier. The agencies claimed there were no responsive documents except for a single, two-page document. Now, the whistleblower report released by Gabbard suggests otherwise. It reveals that the whistleblower discussed SLF’s FOIA requests with agency officials, claimed that there were potentially responsive documents to the request, and expressed concern that agency officials hid the Steele Dossier from the whistleblower and others.
SLF is calling on the OSC to investigate the agencies for fraudulently concealing responsive documents from SLF, the federal courts, and the American public confirming that the intelligence community relied on fake intelligence to influence the 2016 election and undermine Trump’s first term.
