Just the News: SLF catches America up on its latest news with John Solomon

(June 3, 2025): Southeastern Legal Foundation’s Kimberly Hermann joins John Solomon Reports to catch America up on the organization’s latest lawsuits.

SLF provides a breakdown of the legal landscape on Title IX and gender ideology in schools. Hermann explains that despite there being “absolutely no question”  that federal law bans boys from competing in girls’ sports, “many states and many school districts…have dug in, and they are continuing to allow these boys into girls’ sports with complete disregard for the law.” Many lawsuits challenging these local policies are working their way up to the Supreme Court, including United States v. Skrmetti, a case currently before the Supreme Court about whether states can ban chemical castration of children wanting to undergo sex changes.

In a similar vein, the US Department of Agriculture had been discriminating against white male farmers for years. SLF brought lawsuits stopping nine of those programs in court, and it recently submitted a letter to the USDA under the Trump Administration advising it that many more discriminatory programs still exist and encouraging it to get rid of those unconstitutional programs once and for all.

SLF also discusses how to ensure that discriminatory DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) policies do not emerge again. First, all three branches of government must work together to improve legislation and enforcement around our civil rights laws and Constitution. Our country must also make fundamental changes to our schools, including teaching children about our colorblind Constitution and stopping radical gender ideology from taking over.

Finally, SLF and Solomon take a look back at their work together over the years to uncover corruption at the highest levels of government, including Biden family business dealings, and share their thoughts on the Biden auto-pen controversy.
