Year-End/Estate Planning

Making your investment in freedom last into the future . . .

There are many ways you can make an investment in the work of your Foundation and the future of our constitutional republic.  As you evaluate your finances for the upcoming tax season, please consider the options presented below. And remember – all contributions to Southeastern Legal Foundation are tax-deductible.

Investment options include:

  • Cash or check:  As long as the envelope is postmarked by December 31, your contribution can be considered as a charitable deduction for the year.

  • Stock:  If you have owned a stock for a significant period of time, it may be more beneficial to contribute the stock rather than writing a check.  This may help you avoid the Capital Gains Tax and also qualifies as a tax deduction.

  • Estate Plan:  One of the best ways to save on the federal estate tax, (or, “death tax,” as we call it) is to include a charity like Southeastern Legal Foundation in your estate planning – will, trust, or other plan.  In addition, this allows your contribution to support vital work for years to come.

Consult with an attorney about the procedure for giving to Southeastern Legal Foundation in your estate documents.  Here is suggested language:

“I give to Southeastern Legal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, the sum of $ ____ and/or other specifically described property, free of all death taxes, creditors’ claims and expenses of administration of my estate, for discretionary use in carrying out its aims and purposes.”

Pursuant to auditing requirements, all financial records are retained by Southeastern Legal Foundation for a minimum period of seven (7) years.

Donor Privacy Policy:  Under IRS rules and in concert with Southeastern Legal Foundation bylaws, the identity of contributors is held confidential.

We sincerely hope you will consider making a tax-deductible investment with Southeastern Legal Foundation today.  For more details, please call us today at 770-977-2131, or simply click on the contribute page of this web site. Again, thank you for your ongoing investment in American liberty.
